AI Smart Message fires at four moments: a fan comes online, someone subscribes, someone resubscribes, or a fan goes quiet after buying. Every one of these messages is free to the fan, never a PPV. The control is Off or Auto only, because a draft you approve two hours later is a message that missed.
Most fans do not drift away in a dramatic moment. They come online and nobody says hi. Their subscription lapses quietly. They buy something, then stop replying. AI Smart Message covers those moments while they are still live.

Are Smart Messages ever charged to a fan?
No. Nothing here is a PPV. No price, no discount, no charge to your fan, ever. The job of a Smart Message is to restart a conversation, and a price tag on the first message gets in the way of that.
Selling happens afterwards, in the chat your AI just reopened, or through AI Mass Message.
Why is there no "Ask me first" level?
Smart Post and Mass Message both offer a draft review level. Smart Message does not. It is Off or Auto, nothing in between.
That is deliberate. These messages work because they arrive at the moment the fan is online, or the moment a subscription starts. A draft you approve two hours later is not a smaller version of the same thing. It is a message that missed. Rather than offer a level that quietly produces worse results, the control is a straight switch.
It sits in the AI Actions list with its own Off and Auto control. Turn it off and your AI will not reach out to these fans at all. No other setting changes.
How is it different from AI Mass Message?
Both send messages you did not write. That is where the similarity ends.

Open the AI tab. Smart Message sits under AI Actions with the rest. Tap the row title to see the full list of triggers. Use the Off and Auto control on the row to switch it.
FAQ
Do Smart Messages cost my fans anything?
No. Every Smart Message is free. Nothing in this feature is sent as a paid message.
Can I review Smart Messages before they send?
No. The control is Off or Auto only, because these messages depend on arriving at the moment the trigger happens.
Can I pick which of the four triggers are active?
The four moments come as a set. If you do not want your AI reaching out at all, switch the action off.
Do Smart Messages follow my hard limits?
Yes. They use your persona, rating and hard limits in the same way every other message your AI sends does.
What happens if a fan is blacklisted?
Your AI stops handling that conversation entirely, so no Smart Message is sent to them.
